Osage Hills Wildlife Management Area spans approximately 13,000 acres in Osage County, Oklahoma. The area features rolling hills, limestone bluffs, upland forests, and small creeks, characteristic of the Osage Plains and through the edge of the Osage Hills region. Historically, this land was inhabited by Osage Nation and later developed for cattle grazing and hunting. Today, it is managed primarily for wildlife habitat conservation and outdoor recreational activities. The area supports a variety of wildlife species including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, quail, and migratory waterfowl, making it a popular destination for hunters and wildlife watchers alike. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore numerous trails and rugged terrain, engage in upland game bird hunting, or enjoy seasonal fishing and birdwatching. The mix of oak-hickory forests and open glades provides excellent habitat diversity. Despite its rugged landscape, the area is accessible via multiple entry points and accommodates primitive camping opportunities.
